CST 300 - Week 8

 Hello everyone!
We have reached the last week of CST 300. It was an eventful and interesting course. I definitely learned a lot. This week, we submitted our final project videos.

Part 1: Review Other Teams' Final Video Projects

I personally loved watching this video! The topic was about predictive modeling, by J.R.S. Consultants, which was well-covered with detailed explanations. For example, their video explained what predictive modeling is, the common terms, types of models (classification, forecasting, clustering), and its importance in computer science. The presentation is clear and easy to follow, with the speakers articulating their points well. The use of visuals, such as graphs, in their PowerPoint, aids in understanding their material. The information they shared shows how thorough their research was, with credible sources throughout the presentation. The video was professional, with good audio and video quality. The way they shared their videos on the bottom corner gave a nice touch to their professionalism.  The video was well-edited, maintaining a good flow. Their video was engaging and interesting. Teamwork in this group was evident, with all members contributing equally. It was well-coordinated, and showed good collaboration. The video was appropriate for computing professionals, since it used a bit of high-level computing language. I would suggest to consider adding more interactive elements, such as quizzes or discussion prompts to increase viewer engagement. It may also be helpful to include a brief summary or key takeaways at the end to reinforce the main points.

This was a very interesting video about Robots in Corporations. This video was made by Alyssa, Lazzaro, and France. They introduced the definition and function of robots and their history with NASA and in various companies. Although this video was supposed to be short it gave detailed description of the topic. Although, some additional examples could have helped to understand robotics more. The presentation was clear and professional, as well as easy to understand. The transitions made it more lively and appropriate for the public audience. The research quality was also good, with deep and thorough information. The audio video production was good, and the editing was smooth. The teamwork was apparent, especially during the parts where multiple speakers were talking one after the other. It showed good coordination and collaboration. The simplified content made it appropriate for all ages to understand, as well as middle-schoolers.

This video was by JKO Dynamics. They made a short video on Green Computing. I loved how the topic was covered overall, with quick and concise information to get an overview of what they are talking about. The presentation is clear, with well-organized content and flow. I loved the background soundtrack they have added. It grabs the attention of the listener and makes it more engaging. The way they have used visuals in their videos, like snapshots of windmills and garbage bins, are effective in enhancing understanding. Their research quality is good as well, introducing how to go green, especially with our smart gadgets. The video is highly engaging, with a good mix of visuals, animations, soundtracks, and interactive elements. The pacing keeps the viewer's attention throughout. The teamwork in this project seems quite evident, with seamless coordination and equal participation. The team members complement each others' points well. The video is highly appropriate for all individuals, including students in middle school. Maybe they can consider adding a recap of the main points in the video at the end. Overall, I loved and thoroughly enjoyed their presentation!

Part 2: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal

Our team submitted our final video project on the topic: Addiction and Mental Health Concerns with Social Media. We had a lot of fun and our group came up with a very creative presentation. It was a lot of fun working with them, and although we were working till the very last minute, we made it! I think it would definitely help to start ahead of time next time. Here are the links to both our videos:

          - Professional video: https://youtu.be/BMuu2U-RMsI

We also submitted our updated ILP portfolio. It looked satisfying when we update all our work and looking back at what we have accomplished throughout this course. I am excited to see a finished version of my portfolio at the end of my degree! This week was a short week where we spent most of our time working on our videos. I had a lot of fun in this class and I am excited to start the next course on Software Design. Next week, I will be back on an update from our next class!
